Onion price in Hyderabad increased to Rs 80 per kg. Biryani hotels, panipuri centers have reduced consumption

HYDERABAD: Onion is crying tears without cutting it. Onions are being sold at Rs 80 per kg in Telangana’s capital Hyderabad and are likely to complete this century soon.

Hotels, biryani centers, panipuri centers have drastically reduced the use of onion due to the phenomenal increase in the price of the staple kitchen item. The price of onion is increasing day by day.

Two months ago, 6 kg of onion was available at Rs 100, but its price has gradually increased. The price of onion, which was Rs 50 a kg a week ago, has suddenly increased.

Good quality onion has reached Rs 80 per kg, managers of hotels, biryani centers, hostels, panipuri centers have reduced the consumption of onion. Market sources say that the prices are increasing. In some areas, the cultivation of crops has decreased due to rain.
