Hyderabad: The Congress party today alleged that Majlis workers staged ragging in three assembly constituencies in the city and ensured bogus voting. The Congress on Friday asked the Election Commission to stop the counting of votes in the three assembly constituencies Chandrayaangutta, Bahadurpura and Charminar in Hyderabad until the verification of CCTV footage is completed. It doesn’t happen.
Congress also wrote a letter to the Election Commission of India in this regard. In his address, Congress leader G. Niranjan alleged that the Majlis had polluted the entire election process by bogus voting and rigging in these three assembly constituencies.
He alleged that the Majlis leaders also attacked Congress leaders and workers. Niranjan alleged that in the booths where there were no opposition party agents, Majlis workers conducted bogus voting.
He said that the Election Commission officials failed to stop the Majlis workers from electoral corruption. He demanded to review the CCTV footage of all the booths of these three assembly constituencies and take action against the culprits.
