Hyderabad: A startling revelation unfolded in the Bachupally area on the outskirts of Hyderabad as two policemen from the AP Special Police were apprehended while transporting 22 kg of Ganja on Friday morning. The arrested individuals, identified as a head constable and a constable from the third battalion of APSP, were found in possession of 11 packets of the narcotic substance.
The Balanagar Special Operations Team (SOT) acted on a tip-off, intercepting a car that led to the shocking discovery of police personnel being involved in the illegal transportation of Ganja. Initial inquiries disclosed that the two arrested policemen had taken leave, citing health reasons, and were allegedly attempting to generate illicit income through the illicit trade of Ganja.
The incident has raised concerns about the involvement of law enforcement officials in unlawful activities, prompting swift action by the authorities. The arrested policemen have been suspended pending a thorough investigation into their illicit activities. The police department is determined to maintain the integrity of its force and uphold the law, ensuring that those who betray the public trust face the consequences of their actions.
