Hyderabad – January 29 Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has issued directives to create a comprehensive digital health profile for every resident in the state. Instructions have been given to undertake the requisite measures for the development of a unique digital health profile card, which is proposed to be linked with an identification number. The Chief Minister emphasized that this initiative aims to facilitate prompt and efficient medical assistance during emergency situations. Additionally, he suggested integrating the Arogyasri program with this health profile card.
During a high-level review meeting on the Health and Medical Department at the Secretariat on Monday, Chief Minister Revanth Reddy urged officials to reconsider the mandatory requirement of a white ration card for Arogya Shri. The growing number of white ration cardholders for the Arogya Shri Card prompted the Chief Minister to propose measures for the establishment of Nursing, Physiotherapy, and Paramedical Colleges, particularly in areas where Medical Colleges exist, along with the formulation of a uniform policy for such institutions.
Chief Minister Revanth Reddy also directed the expedited completion of Super Specialty Hospitals in Warangal, LB Nagar, Sanat Nagar, and Alwal under the TIMS project. He emphasized the need to connect medical colleges with hospitals to address potential shortages of doctors. Inquiring about pending details regarding medical, nursing, and paramedical colleges in the state, the Chief Minister recommended the consideration of establishing a medical college and a nursing college at Kodingal.
Furthermore, he stressed the importance of providing comprehensive medical services at BB Nagar AIIMS, highlighting the potential benefits for the people of Khammam, Warangal, and Nalgonda districts, which could alleviate the strain on Osmania and Nimus hospitals. The Chief Minister directed officials to visit AIIMS, prepare a comprehensive report, and assured that he would personally brief the Union Minister if necessary to ensure the availability of full medical services at AIIMS.
