Hyderabad, February 3, 2024: Senior Congress leader Mohammed Ali Shabbir officially began his role as Advisor to the Telangana Government for Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, Backward Classes, and Minority Welfare today.
Following a special prayer ceremony held at the BR Ambedkar Secretariat office, Shabbir formally assumed his duties. State Minister for Revenue, Information and Civic Relations Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy, State Minister for Culture Joupli Krishna Rao, and BC Commission Chairman Krishna Mohan Rao were present to offer their congratulations.
Shabbir also received well wishes and introductions from other dignitaries, including government advisor Malurvi, GAD Secretary Raghunandan Rao, Minority Welfare Department Secretary Umar Jalil, Residential Educational Institutions Secretary Naveen Nicholas, and several public representatives.
Shabbir’s appointment comes after extensive deliberations within the state government. He brings with him years of experience in public service, having previously served as a minister in undivided Andhra Pradesh and holding leadership positions in the Congress party.
